Oak Crest Academy (OCA) respects and understands the importance of online privacy and security.
This Website Privacy Policy discloses our information gathering, use and dissemination practices for our main website, www.oakcrestacademy.org, and any of the associated sub-sites. By using our Website, you agree to the terms of this Website Privacy Policy. We suggest that you refer to this Website Privacy Policy on a regular basis as it may change, at any time in OCA’s sole discretion.
Web Browser Information Use
OCA may use data your web browser passes on, such as your IP address, browser name and version, computer operating system, resources you are accessing and last resource visited. These items are recorded in the server’s log file, as is common practice with all websites. We run reports on these logs to better understand what our customers want and need from a technological perspective.
Data Collection; Use and Disclosure
OCA websites contain areas that collect personally identifiable information our users supplied voluntarily in connection with requests for information about our school, program offerings, and services provided. Persons who supply OCA with their contact information online may receive direct mail, email, or telephone contact from us with information regarding special promotions, new product releases, upcoming events, and services that may be of interest to our customers. Without authorization from the user, OCA and its affiliates do not release, sell, rent or trade personally identifiable information to any third party other than to fulfill requests for goods and services. Users may opt out of receiving future communications; see the Opt-Out section included in this document.
OCA’s online Enrollment Application process requires users to create a personal account in order to enter information regarding their enrollment needs. The first-time user is asked to create a username, password, and provide an email address. Entering this information enables the users to access the online Enrollment Application, to enter data, and to modify their personally identifiable information if anything should change during the application process. A communication is sent to the email address provided, welcoming the user to the online enrollment system and providing the user with their username and password for future use. We do not release, sell, rent or trade personally identifiable information collected in our Enrollment Application process to any third party.
Notwithstanding the above limitations on OCA’s use and disclosure of personally identifiable information, in the event OCA is ever sold or reorganized, we reserve the right to transfer ownership of user and student data to the acquiring company or other successor. Additionally, we can (and you authorize us to) disclose as required by law any information about you and any of your children who are OCA students, including voluntary disclosures to law enforcement agencies and government officials, as we, in our sole discretion, believe necessary or appropriate.
Security
OCA takes practical measures to protect your personally identifiable information as you transmit data from your computer to our site and to protect such information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. To maintain integrity on our site, we use WIX secure server for all financially related transactions. Contact information from our data capture forms are used to transmit orders and information about our company to our users. Financial information that is collected is used to bill for products and services the user has requested and not for any other purpose. Please be advised that no Internet transmission is ever 100% secure or error-free and therefore we cannot ensure that information will never be disclosed as the result of third parties unlawfully intercepting or accessing files, transmissions or private communications. Keep in mind that email sent to or from our Website may not be secure, and we ask that you take special care in deciding what information you send to us via email.
Public Forums
OCA’s websites may currently, or in the future, make available chat rooms, forums, message boards, and/or newsgroups to users. Please remember that any information that is disclosed in these areas becomes public information and you should exercise caution when deciding to disclose your personally identifiable information.
Children’s Guidelines
